Water & Gas Pipes
This group includes ungalvanized and galvanized welded steel pipes, used for gas and water pipelines, and heating systems and construction components. The pipes are manufactured from 4 to 12 v length:
- Gauge and multiple gauge length with 5 mm allowance for each cut and 10 mm full-length deviation from the true longitudinal profile;
- Off-gauge length.
On customer request 5% of the off-gauge pipes lot is allowed to be pipes from 1.5 to 4 m length. For knurling the full-length reduction of the pipe inner diameter up to 10% is allowed. Weight per 1 meter is calculated for 7.85 g/cm steel density. Galvanized steel pipes are heavier than ungalvanized ones by 3%.
Comments:
Wall thickness positive limit deviation is limited with pipe weight limit deviations. Pipes of standard accuracy are used in gas and water pipelines and heating systems.
Pipe weight limit deviations should not exceed +8%. On customer request pipe weight limit deviations should not exceed: +7.5% – for the lot; + 10% – for each pipe.
Pipe bending per 1 m length should not exceed: 2 mm – with nominal inside diameter up to 20 mm incl.; 1.5 mm – with nominal inside diameter over 20 mm. Pipes with nominal inside diameter 6, 8, 10, 15 and 20 mm on customer request are supplied in bundles.
Pipes of advanced accuracy are used as components of gas and water supply constructions.
Reference designations:
Standard pipe, ungalvanized, of standard accuracy of manufacturing, off-gauge length, with 20 mm nominal inside diameter, 2.8 mm wall thickness, without thread and without coupling: pipe 20x2. 8 GOST 3262-75.
The same, with coupling: pipe M-20h2, 8 GOST 3262-75.
The same, gauge length, with thread: pipe R-20h2, 8-4000 GOST 3262-75.
- For pipes with long thread after the word “pipe” goes D.
- For pipes of advanced accuracy of manufacturing after the nominal inside diameter value goes P.
- For pipes with knurled thread after the word “pipe” goes N.
